You may have expressed interest either late last season or this year in attending a refereeing course, and I am pleased to advise that the next scheduled course is an Introductory Course to the Laws of the Game to be held at the Caledonian Ground (2nd floor) at Logan Park starting at 6.30pm on Thursday, 14th April.

The course is aimed at junior coaches, players, parents and others interested in knowing more about the Laws, and is also the first step on the rung for anyone interested in moving to the next stage of actually refereeing (there is a follow-up course planned for the near future in this regard).

The course lasts 2.5 to 3 hours and is free of charge. There is an open book multi-choice test at the end which, if passed, means that you will receive a certificate from New Zealand Football. You will also receive free to keep a booklet with the basic laws explained in straightforward language.

In order for me to bring along the correct materials, please register your interest with me as soon as possible (I can accommodate people right up to the night before). If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
